A University of North Carolina soccer player has been removed from team activities indefinetely after authorities in Chapel Hill charged him with violating a domestic violence protective order for the second time since August.

According to UNC men's soccer head coach Carlos Somoano, Cristian Milazzo is "not participating in team activities until further notice."

On the UNC Athletics website, the player page for Milazzo appeared to be removed.

According to court documents, Milazzo was arrested on Tuesday for violating a domestic violence order. An arrest warrant said he drove by the victim's home and turned into the driveway.

This is the second time in three months that Milazzo has been accused of violating the protective order. In August, Milazzo was arrested and charged with coming onto UNC's campus and being within 1,000 feet of the victim.

In the August case, court documents said that prosecution against Milazzo was deferred, provided that Milazzo didn't attempt to assault, harras or intimidate the victim and completed a mental health evaluation.

Milazzo is expected to appear in court on the most recent charges in November. WRAL News reached out to the law firm that represented Milazzo on his previous charges and did not immediately hear back.
