CARY, N.C. — A star-studded roster of Power 4 commits at Rolesville shined in a 6-0 scrimmage victory for the #19 Rams over #9 Southeast Raleigh at Monday's HighSchoolOT Jamboree.

The HighSchoolOT Jamboree at First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park is brought to you by State Employees Credit Union, Talk it Out NC, the United States Army, and Wake Orthopaedics.

The event features 10 high-profile programs from around the state: Union Pines, Hunt, J.H. Rose, #19 Rolesville, #9 Southeast Raleigh, #22 Wake Forest, #7 Cardinal Gibbons, #4 Millbrook, Middle Creek, and #25 Southern Durham.

Hunt and Union Pines played on Saturday, Aug. 8, as did J.H. Rose. The Rampants had limited field time in a matchup with Rolesville that lasted just six minutes on Saturday before the jamboree was postponed due to inclement weather. The remaining seven teams returned to Cary for the makeup games on Monday.

This was the first of three games in a round robin between Rolesville, Southeast, and Wake Forest. All three of these games are 25 minutes with a running clock. For additional differing rules, read here.

Rolesville athlete Deshaun Nesbitt got things rolling on offense with a big time run down the middle with grass wide open. That run coupled with a face mask penalty against Southeast Raleigh and another penalty on the Bulldogs put Rolesville at the 2-yard line. From there, 3-star running back and Nebraska commit Amir Brown ran in the touchdown with 12:55 remaining in the single period scrimmage. The 2-point conversion failed despite an unreal one-handed catch from Nesbitt that ultimately landed out-of-bounds.

On Southeast Raleigh's next drive, the Rams did a good job of stalling the Bulldogs. Rolesville senior defensive end Jayden Broadie came up with a big sack in the backfield to force fourth down and a punt. After that, Rolesville burned much of the running clock to take away opportunity for SE Raleigh.
