The Stanley Cup is coming to Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Tuesday night following the Carolina Hurricanes' championship victory in June, giving fans a chance to see the iconic trophy up close.

WRAL News has learned that Carolina Hurricanes player Jordan Martinook will also be there.

The Cup will be on display during the Durham Bulls' game against the Norfolk Tides on Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Chrystal Rowe, general manager for the Durham Bulls, said she hopes the Cup will help fans bring the energy on Tuesday to give the team a boost during a crucial streak.

"Hopefully the Bulls continue their streak and can potentially have a second-half win and push to the playoffs. We’re in it, so we need fans to kind of rally behind and cheer on the team and kind of keep winning at home to get us into that second half playoff spot," she said.

The event marks the Stanley Cup's first appearance at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in 20 years.

There are still some seats available as of Tuesday morning. Tickets start at $13 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
