Fire displaces at least 16 at Timbers Apartments in Raleigh

Eight apartments were damaged in an early morning fire on Sunday. 

The fire happened around 2 a.m. at the Timbers Apartments in Raleigh.

The Raleigh Fire Chief was on the scene and told WRAL the fire was under control in about 20 minutes. 

There were no injuries, however, the residents in the damaged apartments have been displaced. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
