Scotty McCreery celebrates 15 years since American Idol win with album release

Fifteen years after winning American Idol, Scotty McCreery is reflecting on his country music career with a retrospetive album.

"15," which was released Friday, features nine of his hit songs and four new recordings.

"Fifteen years goes by like a flash. Some days it feels like yesterday when I did my initial American Idol audition in Milwaukee, while other days it feels like it happened a hundred years ago," said McCreery in a Facebook post. "I’ve lived a lot of life, traveled millions of miles, and followed my dreams, all thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my family, my team, and all the fans who have supported me through these 15 years."

McCreery, a Garner native and North Carolina State University graduate, auditioned for American Idol in 2010. He was just 17 when he won the show's 10th season in 2011. McCreery married Gabi Dugal 2018 and the couple has two boys – Avery, 3, and Oliver, 10 months.

McCreery's new album is out now.
