Man charged in Thursday morning shooting at Raleigh home

A man was charged in connection with an early morning shooting in Raleigh on Thursday.

Raleigh police charged 33-year-old Eddie Thomasson after he allegedly shot a man on Magnolia Court. Thomasson fired into the house, hitting the man, then fled the scene, according to police.

The victim was injured and taken to the hospital where he is expected to recover, police said.

Thomasson was arrested by Raleigh police on Friday and was charged with:

• Three counts of possession of a firearm by a felon
• Two counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied building
• One count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury

He is being held without bond in the Wake County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
