WRAL News has learned that a man who allegedly stole a truck and crashed into a couple celebrating their wedding anniversary has been indicted for additional charges related to the crash.

According to court documents, Robert Bradley of Cary was indicted on felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, felony larceny of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Bradley was already facing a slew of charges prior to the indictment, including:

  • Driving while impaired.
    • Felony hit-and-run.
      • Reckless driving.
        • Failure to wear a seat belt.
          • Failure to stop for a red light.

Bradley is accused to crashing a stolen vehicle on June 25 at Ten-Ten Road and Old State Road during that morning commute. Raleigh police said Bradley then stole a pick-up truck from a witness to that crash before crashing again into a couple on Morgan Street.

Family members of Bob ad Kathy Phillips, who were in the vehicle on Morgan Street, told WRAL News that the couple were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary weekend.  The crash sent them to hospital with serious injuries.
