Troopers investigate Johnston County crash; driver charged

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that injured two people Wednesday in Johnston County.

Troopers said it happened on NC-210 near Lassiter Road around 4:30 p.m.

A pickup truck was traveling on NC-210 when it crossed the centerline hitting a sedan head-on, troopers said.

According to troopers, the driver of the sedan was taken to WakeMed Main in critical condition. The driver of the pickup truck was taken to WakeMed Garner with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Charges are pending for the driver of the pickup truck.

Troopers cleared the scene before 6 p.m.
