Holly Springs crash causes power outages

More than 1,000 people were without power at one point in Holly Springs after a crash that knocked out a power pole on Wednesday morning.

The WRAL Breaking News Tracker was on Holly Springs New Hill Road as crews worked to fix the pole. There were more than 1,000 without power in the area before 5 a.m. That number to fell to around 60 minutes later.

Part of the road was closed near Green Oaks Parkway.

Duke Energy estimated power will be restored by 6:45 a.m.

We are working to find out if anyone was hurt in the crash.
