Morris Grove Elementary School dismissed early due to a power outage caused by a fallen tree

Morris Grove Elementary School dismissed at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday after a tree fell on power lines causing a power outage at the school. 

The tree fell on Eubanks Road near the school closing the road in both directions near the recycling center. 

With Eubanks Road closed, the school cannot be accessed from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and drivers will need to use an alternate route

Students were able to recieve lunch at school before dismissal.

Staff will remain at school until every student has been picked up or dropped off by their school bus.

All afterschool activities and after-school care have been canceled for the day.
