Two people displaced after fire damages home in Knightdale

A fire severely damaged a home on Wednesday afternoon in Knightdale.

Fire crews responded around 4:45 p.m. to 1205 Topping Lane in Knightdale with flames showing from the back of the home. 

According to the Knightdale Fire Department, it took about 20 minutes to get the fire under control.

Sky 5 flew over the scene were you could see heavy damage to the back of the home and in the yard. 

No one was injured in the fire, the fire department said. 

Officials said two people are displaced and the Red Cross is assisting. 

The Wake County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
