Overturned cement truck blocks Hodge Road at I-87 ramp in Knightdale

An overturned cement truck is blocking Hodge Road at the entrance ramp to Interstate 87 southbound in Knightdale. 

The WRAL Breaking News Tracker arrived at the scene at 8 a.m. on Tuesday. A tow truck was on scene to remove the large truck, which was on its side in the middle of the road. Hodge Road was completely blocked.

Drone 5 flew over the crash, showing powdery cement all over the road. 

A black sedan appeared to be involved in the crash, with its front end pushed up against the overturned truck. WRAL News is working to learn what caused the crash and if anyone was injured.

Delays up to 15 minutes were reported on I-87 between Knightdale and Wendell Boulevard. Drivers can use Knightdale Boulevard or U.S. 64 as an alternate route.
