Train hits tractor-trailer in downtown Durham

An Amtrak passenger train hit a tractor-trailer in downtown Durham late Tuesday morning.

Before 10:30 a.m., Sky 5 flew over the crash scene at Ramseur and Pettigrew streets near the Durham County Courthouse.

The front of the tractor-trailer was smashed, and the train was stopped on the tracks.

WRAL News is working to learn if anyone was injured.
