A WakeMed officer facing kidnapping and assault charges is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

Jeremy Lee Bohne, 39, of Wilson, was arrested on Friday and charged with felony second-degree kidnapping, assault on a female, assault with a deadly weapon, interfering with emergency communication and more.

Bohne is expected to appear in court in Wilson County at 9:30 a.m.

Warrants accuse Bohne of kidnapping, restraining and terrorizing a woman. According to warrants, he assaulted the woman by grabbing her "by the arm and collar," held her at gunpoint with a rifle and used a box cutter to cut through her shirt.

Bohne is also accused of taking the woman's cellphone to prevent her from calling 911.

WakeMed officials said Bohne was suspended immediately following his arrest. He is being held in the Wilson County Detention Center.
