Plenty of people are in the market for some new Hurricanes merchandise after the team’s victory over Montreal in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final on Friday.

Just one day after the historic win, Canes fans flocked to the Carolina Pro Shop at Lenovo Center, grabbing some game-day essentials.

Some fans told WRAL News they’ve been waiting years for this moment and are stocking up for their family, too.

“To finally be back in the Stanley Cup finals is like a dream come true so we had to immediately come over and pick up some new merch,” Megan Boland said.

Megan and Erin Boland made sure to grab something for family, too.

“Our mom lives in western North Carolina, so we’re getting her order over the phone,” Erin Boland said.

With this being the Canes' first time in 20 years advancing to the Stanley Cup Final, fans are eager to get some new items.

Tom Hurley recounted the moment the Hurricanes won the Cup Final in 2006. He expects the same excitement going into the Stanley Cup Final this week.

"With each victory the craziness will go up," he said.

Fans who may have missed Saturday’s sale at the Carolina Pro Shop sale can still check out the sale at Rally House Crossroads Plaza in Cary, opened until 9 p.m. Dick’s Sporting Goods also has Canes gear and will be open until 9 p.m.

Carolina Pro Shop will be closed on Sunday, but back open on Monday.

Tickets also went on sale Saturday at 3 p.m. The Hurricanes will face the Vegas Golden Knights, and the series opens Tuesday with Game 1 at Lenovo Center at 8 p.m.
