Barbie, Hot Wheels and more: Mattel Wonder Indoor Waterpark to open in NC

Guests will be able to take a trip inside some of Mattel's biggest toy brands including Barbie and Hot Wheels when a new waterpark opens in Roanoke Rapids.

One of the nation's first Mattel Wonder Indoor Waterpark is slated to open at Weldon Mills Resort in 2029. The waterpark will span 100,000 square-feet and include a retractable roof so guests can enjoy the waterpark year-round. 

Located along the I-95 corridor, the Weldon Mills Resort will also include a hotel, amphitheater, motorsports facility, distillery,  sports and events center, retail, restaurants and an adventure park.
